About
Winter strips things bare — in faces, gazes, lines. A portrait born on the street in the cold speaks more clearly than any word: through snow haze, frosty air, and sharp winter light, character emerges, unmasked by bright colors or cozy distractions.
We invite photographers to capture this honest encounter between person and winter — no staging, no interiors, just the street, the cold, and a living gaze.
Accepted:
- Portraits of adults (18 years or older) taken outdoors during the winter season — in urban or natural settings
- Color or black-and-white photographs that unmistakably convey a snowy winter atmosphere — through snow, frost, winter clothing, or characteristic lighting
- Images featuring one or several subjects, provided their faces remain the expressive focal point and occupy at least two-thirds of the frame
Not accepted:
- Photos taken indoors — even near a window with a winter view
- Images featuring nudity or erotic content
- Photos where the subject occupies less than two-thirds of the frame or is visually lost in the surroundings
